Jack Thacker grew up on a farm in Herefordshire and is now based in Bristol, UK.


His poetry has appeared in magazines such as Magma, PN Review, Stand, Blackbox Manifold, The Clearing and Caught by the River and has been broadcast on BBC Radio.


He was the winner of the Charles Causley International Poetry Competition in 2016 and has been the writer in residence at both the Museum of English Rural Life and Lighthouse Arts Centre.


His debut pamphlet-length collection is Handling, which came out with Two Rivers Press in 2018.


He is currently preparing a full-length collection of poems for publication.
